Alternate title "Sunday syndrome". Vocaloid stuff delayed because I suck. I just can't seem to get into the flow of anything the past few Sundays. It's not that I don't have a lot of songs to finish, I just can't seem to get that final chunk of work done without second guessing everything. Hopefully next week I'll have something better!

I totally feel you about second guessing. I always have to remind myself "this is weeklybeats; there's always next week." Kinda takes the pressure off.

Cool textures here!!! I wish it was longer; that melody that comes in at 1:03 is gorgeous.

I'm totally with you on always second guessing and never finishing things man. Happens to me all the time. Spending hours on on thing, thinking later it wasn't that great and starting over. All part of the process I guess haha.

The way you mix the piano is always so clear. I gotta take notes

I really appreciated this track. You sure can write some soothing interludes, and this one had a nice melancholic character. Hope that's at least a little reassuring when in doubt. And delays just mean that you care, not that you're lacking in any way. smile

Really pretty piece, here. Love the way it floats to its conclusion and just kind of leaves you hanging.

I had that second guessing feeling with a few stories I was writing. Sometimes it can be helpful to get a piece of work to that point and then just leave it for a while. So you know, just keep at it and I'm sure you'll make something you're happy with.

Thanks! I might have an idea for something to do with that melody actually. That's true, I need to get better at following through on that idea. I do have vocaloid jazz ongoing, which is incredibly fun to do, but I forgot how fiddly AlterEgo is to actually use lol. Also lyrics are hard. Thanks for listening heart

Thank you! Yeah definitely, I think I'm gonna have to leave a few projects for a while and move on, give myself some more space.

Thanks a lot, that does make me feel better heart heart heart I'm going to try and get something done early in the week this time!

Thank you, I think that' what I need right now. I might take a step back from a few projects and start something completely new. Cheers for listening heart

ugggghhhh, I know exactly what you mean, its a horrible feeling.  Hopefully you can wrap up some of the tunes you've got open soon.  Once again, great use of space.  I love how you always have a lot of the parts are pushed way back in the mix, but are all still so clean.

It's hard with all that's going on.  And we're nearing the midpoint stretch for the year and motivation and creativity can run low.  I almost threw in the towel today and may next week (not for the year though). Good that you rallied and get some composition together.  Sounds good and the piano melody is compelling and creates good atmosphere.  I like your tags. Nothing you can't fix with some reverb!  It's the sound engineer's duct tape smile

I love this track. you worked it out very beautiful. should be continued.

Great title, I don’t think you need to second guess anything, all your output has been great given the time constraints.  Love that crackle and pop of the vinyl with the delicate piano.

I think it still manages to be a really sophisticated full sounding piece even while reflecting or representing your uncertainty about it. I enjoyed it. Funny how that happens?

Finishing is the hardest part.  Partially because it's hard to know when it's "done."  There's always the urge to tinker with the mix or add another part, which sometimes becomes detrimental to the song.  I kind of like the forced deadline of Weekly Beats because I know I have to keep moving so I generally don't overthink things too much.  This was short, but it was very lovely for its duration.  I could see it being expanded into something more, or it could work as a nice little interlude.

Another great ambient track from you.  Definitely enjoyed this.  Agree with everyone else on the motivation/finishing.  It can be tough.  Gotta remind yourself it's just WB.

Beautiful piano.

Thanks! Working out a new plan to finish tunes right now!

Yes ahaha I'm going hard for that 52 this year, not missing a week for the world. Good luck with this week, I hope you get something in!

Lol, thank you very much heart I does kind of mirror the mixed feelings I'm having about music right now, so in a kind of meta way I have some sympathy for it. I should really be doing better though! Thank you for listening heart

Thank you very much heart Yeah exactly, that last decision is so hard. Sometimes changing something really late in makes the song way better though! The ambiguity is kind hard to deal with, like "is this really as good as it could be?" Weeklybeats is great for doing the big chunk of work but I always end up working on tunes for a long time after posting them here, I just can't help it haha. Thanks for the words and for tuning in heart

love the extra less melodic elements in this. Really creating that ambient space.

Soothing stuff, nice ambiance and piano. Love those tags. Reverb fam! I always remind myself that usually sitting down to create will make the week, and life in general, even better.

In the meantime, you're making these awesome ambient tracks like it's nobody's business.

You might call it the intro to a banger, I call it the best part.

Thanks! They're pretty easy to do even without much motivation or inspiration, so I love putting em everywhere haha.

I agree! I always enjoy things more once I've done them, I just need to get better at getting that ball rolling. Cheers for listening heart
